Description
She is a member of the ONU faculty, teaching ballet,
modern and jazz classes and was instrumental in starting the ONU
Dance Company. She also coordinated residencies with Rhythm In Shoes,
Jazz Tap Ensemble of Los Angeles, Ballet Memphis, River North Dance
Company, African American Dance Ensemble and Gus Giordano Jazz Dance
Chicago, culminating in performances with the ONU Dance Company.
In 2000, she began the annual Jazz, Blues and Dance series with the
ONU Dance Company that includes five guest choreographers and a live
ensemble on stage for the concert. She has served as a consultant
for the Ohio Arts Council, the Northwest Ohio Arts Advisory Board
and is a past President of Dance for the Ohio Association of Health,
Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. She currently serves on
the Board of Ohio Dance as Secretary. Previous professional activities
include dancing for Dance Images Dance Company, Growth in Motion,
Rigmarole Dance Company and artistic direction of Modern Dance Kentucky,
Phoenix Moving Company and Happenstance Dance Company.
