Biggs Theatre
The Biggs theatre is our 550 seat adjustable width proscenium house
that offers excellent viewing from every seat and a fully motorized
orchestra pit. Five beautiful chandeliers rise to
signal the start
of each show.
You can enter the main theatre through vomitoria, stadium-type
entrances on each side with the university seal decorating the
first set of the hardwood, laser etched
doors.
Once theatergoers enter, they can proceed in any direction
to fine their seats in the continental seating arrangement. These
continental seating have two primary benefits: no center aisle and
spacious legroom.
The house has a very steep rake or incline which
affords all audience members a very close view of the stage. The
theatre has a very intimate
feel for that
reason.
The raising of five beautiful chandeliers rise to signal
the start of the show. Our main stage is home to our Spring
Musical, Holiday show and dance concerts. We also bring in road
shows which perform on the space as well as
it being
utilized by the music department for their productions.
